Paleochristian Basilica of Coracho.

The project allowed the recovery of one of the first Constantine basilicas in Hispania, a fundamental pillar for the understanding and dissemination of the origin of Christianity on the Iberian Peninsula. The Interpretation Center of the Basilica and the Origin of Christianity was inaugurated in 2008, recovering and enhancing this important site that appeared in the Paraje de Cortijo Coracho. The basilica, associated with a necropolis, dates from the 4th to the 7th centuries. Its origin goes back to the early moments of the imperial legalization of Christianity in the Constantinian era, the first half of the 4th century. A visit to the Interpretation Center allows you to contemplate a central nave separated from the side aisles by columns and a choir, a semicircular western apse with a priestly bench inside, a freestanding baptistery or mausoleum at the foot, and a rectangular apse on its eastern side. *More information by phone: 957 503662 or 605 867 514
